Blood Diamonds
Blood Diamonds are rough diamonds which have been used by rebel movements to finance wars and crimes against legitimate governments.
Buying and selling of these illicit or blood diamonds has fuelled decades of shattering conflicts, causing blood shed in countries such as Angola, Cote d'Ivoire, the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Sierra Leone.
Blood Diamonds also refers to diamonds bought and sold to fund terrorism and other forms of illegal activities which often lead to the spilling of innocent human blood.
Blood Diamonds are the opposite of Conflict Free Diamonds.
At Tataza Diamonds we go to great length to ensure none of our diamonds have been used in any way to fund conflict. In other words our diamonds are not blood diamonds, they are conflict free diamonds.
