Conflict Free Diamonds

Conflict free Diamonds are diamonds which are NOT blood diamonds. Conflict free Diamonds are diamonds which have been bought and sold legally, have not funded terrorism or illegal activities and have not resulted in blood shed or loss of lives.

The Kimberley Process Certification Scheme (KPCS) was created to stop trade in Blood Diamonds and to stop conflict resulting from trade in diamonds. The Kimberley Process Certification Scheme imposes extensive requirements on its members to enable them to certify shipments of rough diamonds as ‘conflict-free’ diamonds.

The KPCS sets forth a system of warranties allowing legitimate suppliers of diamonds to get their diamonds to market under legitimate means which do not fund conflict and which ensure no one is harmed throughout the diamond buying and selling process.

As of September 2007, the Kimberley Process has 48 members, representing 74 countries, with the European Community and its Member States counting as an individual participant. Australia is a signatory to the Kimberley Process.

At Tataza Diamonds we are proud to guarantee that all Tataza Diamonds are conflict free diamonds and further we guarantee that Tataza Pty Ltd (ABN 27 127 648 677) trading as Tataza Diamonds complies with the Kimberley Process and its system of warranties.
