Coloured Diamonds
The most popluar coloured diamonds are pink diamonds, yellow diamonds and blue diamonds. Diamonds are available in all colours of the rainbow.
Structural defects and chemical impurities in the crystal lattice of a diamond affect the colour of a diamond. The hue and intensity of a diamond's colouration can detract from or enhance the diamond’s value.
Red, Pink and Blue diamonds are the rarest of the coloured diamonds and also the most expensive of the coloured diamonds.
White, yellow and brown diamonds are the most common diamond colours. Most diamond jewellery today consists of diamonds in the yellow colour scale.
These kinds of diamonds are graded using a scale where a perfect colourless diamond is defined as D colour. And a noticeably coloured diamond is graded as Z colour.
D coloured diamonds are very rare and are more expensive than E coloured diamonds. And E coloured diamonds are similarly more expensive and rare than F coloured diamonds. Prices decrease, all things equal, as you go down the scale to Z colour.
Presently, Tataza Diamonds only sells diamonds in the white colour spectrum (from D-Z) and no fancy colours. Use our Interactive Diamond Search to find your perfect diamond.
