Popular for more than a century this is a 19th and early 20th style antique-type shape. It has remnants of the "Old Mine Cut" and is a deep cut with large facets.

Cushion cut diamonds are also known as "pillow-cut" diamonds and have rounded corners and larger facets to increase their brilliance.
